Anger in Fight Club Dublin. Coach Ken Malloy and Barbara Delaney were angered at the News of the world (Ireland) write up 30th November 2008, with claims that Bab's would be fighting against Chantal Menard on 1st December 2008. This bout could never have taken place as Barbara was fighting on The World Championsip Kickboxing 2008 event on the 12th December.

EMAIL FORWARDED FROM FIGHT CLUB:

To all Kickboxing Gym Instructors,

This is Ken Molloy, Head Instructor of Fight Club Kickboxing. Today, Sunday 30th November 2008, while attending Billy O'Sullivan's Junior Show, I was approached by various instructors and wished good luck for Barbara's upcoming fight in Belfast against Chantal Menard, "No, no" I said. "Barbara's not fighting on the WKN Show. She's fighting on Nigel McClure's show, 'World Championship Kickboxing' on 12th December 2008, against Rachel Stevens for a British Title, a show that every single fight on the bill is a title fight and other than Barbara features stars like Aubrey Tarr and Dublin's Ronan McSweeney and Fight Club's Alex Ward. The show is in Ballysillen Leisure Centre, doors open at 6pm". Their response was "no, no according to the News of the World, Babs is fighting in a rematch against Menard tomorrow".

Barbara and myself would like to state for the record that the information in the article in the "News of the World" newspaper on 30th November 2008 (or any other media source that we haven't seen!) regarding a Menard rematch IS A LIE. We, or any other member of Fight Club Kickboxing Dublin ARE NOT taking part in the Billy Murray Promotion on 1st December 2008. We have never been approached by Mr. Murray or anyone from Prokick or the WKN regarding this fight. We have not taken part in any Prokick/WKN shows in over two years, since Fight Club's Warren Betts knocked out Mark Bird for the Junior Irish Championship.

Myself and Barbara (Irish, Four Nations, European and World Champion) will be taking further action regarding this matter.

Thank you for reading this email.

Yours in Sport,

Ken Molloy
